Gollum gone fishing at NZ airport

My precious fish says gollum, well may be not the fish
but look he's trying to catch fish!

So clearly NZ takes their LOTR ( Lord of the Rings) stuff pretty seriously! there is a giant statue of Gollum trying to fish in the Foyer of a NZ airport! which airport? let me check on that for you... yep Wellington airport. It's an OK airport as far as airports go, don't really know...

So what's up with a freakin big weird statue , I mean if people' weren't freaked out about flying, now they can have " My precious, my precious hovering over the top of them"
